The Caribbean Sea Region is organized into 30 territories
The Caribbean is a crescent-shaped group of islands more than 2,000 miles (3,200 km) long separating the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, to the west and south, from the Atlantic Ocean, to the east and north.

Education is the key to opportunity
Education is the key to opportunity. But it’s hard for Caribbean governments to invest in schools when their hands are tied by debt. Governments simply owe too much to repay. The Caribbean Universities Development Foundation (CUDF) and partners lobby for debt cancellation.

Two Sides of the Caribbean
The Caribbean is a world-class holiday destination. But there’s another side to life here, and it’s much less pretty. The Caribbean Universities Development Foundation (CUDF) works throughout the Caribbean region, helping support the millions of people who survive in the shadows.

Environmental degradation
Environmental degradation has damaging effects in the Americas overall. It harms the health of hundreds of millions of people and enormously reduces economic productivity. Long outdated and trash-filled opened sewers leads to contaminated drinking water, beaches and aquifers, diarrheal diseases, malaria, tuberculosis, cholera, foul-smelling waterways, massive fish kills, floating sewage and solid waste debris pollution.
